MECHANICS OF MATERIALS & TESTING

With the increasing knowledge in deformation and fracture mechanics and the progress in process control technologies, today's design and manufacturing standards and regulations include analysis and assessment criteria that we can make more realistic estimations for the suitability of structures for purpose and service as compared to conventional methodologies.

Structural Integrity

We provide services such as condition and damage assessment according to API 571 and VGB-S-517, fitness-for-service assessment according to BS 7910, API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 and API 1104, and risk-based inspection program design and adaptation in accordance with API 580 and API 581 with our CSWIP qualified personnel.

Material Testing

Our team carries out;

  • Elastic (K) and elastic-plastic (CTOD & J-integral) fracture toughness and resistance curve testing [ASTM E399, ASTM E1820, ASTM E561, ISO 12135, ISO 12737, ISO 15653, BSI 7448-4, BS 8571 and DNV.GL-RP-F108],
  • Load and strain controlled, high and low cycle fatigue and crack propagation tests [ASTM E466, ASTM E606, ASTM E647, ISO 1099, ISO 12106, ISO 12108],
  • Creep and stress-rupture tests [ASTM E139, ASTM E292, ISO 204],
  • Spesific tests for welded and bolted connections in accordance with ASME BPVC, API, DNV.GL and EN 1090,
  • Stress corrosion tests, and
  • Other conventional mechanical tests

in non-ambient temperatures and varying environments in our accredited Fracture Mechanics and Structural Integrity Laboratory, which was established in 2014.
