SOLID STATE WELDING

Solid state welding is a group of welding processes that produce welds at temperatures below the melting point of the materials being joined, without the addition of brazing or solder metal. Among these welding techniques based on different physics phenomena, we carry out studies especially on the friction welding methods.

Dissimilar Material Joining

We work on developing methods for chemically incompatible metal pairs or metals with poor fusion-weldability, and process parameter optimization to suppress discontinuities and formation of intermetallics that will adversely affect the mechanical and/or physical performance of the joints.
